What should I look for when choosing a tobacco processor?

I made a few wrong choices early on before figuring this out. The main things are facility standards, processing consistency, and how well they communicate through the order cycle. Eastern Tobacco checks all those boxes as a proper tobacco processing company with real infrastructure behind them. Once you work with a setup like theirs, going back to smaller unorganized processors just doesn't make sense anymore.
